Matt is an infectious disease modeller and epidemiologist, having completed his PhD at Imperial College London which focussed on Taenia solium (pork tapeworm) epidemiology and control. His main research interests lie in the area of One Health, with an emphasis on the control of infectious diseases that impact both humans and animals. He has previously worked in research and policy positions at Public Health England, The Wellcome Trust, Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs), Royal Veterinary College and London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. At the SCI, Matt is focussed on a project examining the impact of different T. solium control options in Uganda.
Matt is an avid football fan, and loves exploring new places when travelling.
