On World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day, SCI Foundation is delighted to announce the winners of the Shine a Light poster competition. Aishwarya Janakan, Anusha Shrivastava and Sahara Aziz were selected as winners for their creative and insightful drawings.

Children from across the world responded to SCI Foundation’s call to submit posters to help raise awareness of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

The winning and shortlisted posters will be displayed at a special exhibition in the Houses of Parliament.

The winners will receive their awards and prize bundles at an event organised by the All-party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and NTDs and the UK Coalition Against Neglected Tropical Diseases commemorating World NTD Day on 30th January.

The Kingston branch of art supplier Cass Art promoted the competition and generously donated the prizes.

“I’d like to thank all the children in the UK and overseas who took part in our poster competition. Their posters and motivation for taking part shows that regardless of age or our areas of expertise, we can all contribute to improving the lives of people affected by neglected tropical diseases. Putting these diseases on the map is absolutely crucial, not just on World NTD Day but always” said Wendy Harrison, CEO of SCI Foundation.
