Aparna Barua Adams
Senior Advocacy Advisor

Aparna is a global health advocacy specialist with over 15 years’ experience in influencing global health policy and public affairs. Her expertise lies in stakeholder engagement and influencing political and policy platforms within the UK, EU, G7, G20, Commonwealth and UN. Aparna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow and a Masters in the Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Prior to joining Unlimit Health in 2024, Aparna worked for UK and US based not-for-profit organisations working across infectious disease policy and programmes, research and development of new vaccines, and disease specific coalitions including tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). She is passionate about bringing together diverse and inclusive, cross-sectoral expertise of stakeholders including affected communities, to improve global public health outcomes.  

Outside of work, Aparna enjoys exploring cultures through language, food, politics and music, and is learning to play the ukulele.
