SCI Foundation appoints new members of the Board

SCI Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of three new trustees and two advisors to its Board, following an extensive and open recruitment process designed to bring in additional expertise and experiences.

SCI Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of three new trustees and two advisors to its Board, following an extensive and open recruitment process designed to bring in additional expertise and experiences.

The existing board, comprised of Justine Frain (Interim Chair), Peter Dranfield, and Jon Gorrie, has been joined by:

Abena Afari (Advisor), an international development consultant with expertise in advocacy and campaigns. Previously a Programme Manager and Advocacy Advisor at Christian Aid, her expertise spans different sectors including economic and climate justice, sexual reproductive health and rights, gender, and accountable governance.

Kathryn Ager is Board Director and Head of Health at Grayling, with experience across a broad range of sectors including health, sustainability, charity and the public sector.

Arielle Dolegui is a global health practitioner with expertise in programme design, implementation, and evaluation for neglected tropical disease (NTD) programmes. She has held positions at Unleash and World Vision, and was co-founder and President of GDOi. She has served as Chair of the Neglected Tropical Disease NGO Network.

Max Seunik is Chief of Staff at Zenysis Technologies, formerly Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Young Diplomats of Canada, and Investment Manager/Portfolio Lead at Grand Challenges Canada.

Carolynne Wheeler (Advisor) is the Head of Communications at BBC Media Action. She previously worked as Head of Global Media at WaterAid, and held roles at BBC News, The Globe and Mail, and The Sunday Telegraph.

Following the appointments, Justine Frain, interim Chair to the Board said:
