Today, on World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day, Unlimit Health is delighted to announce the winners of this years’ Shine a Light poster competition.
This is the second year Unlimit Health has run this activity, which aims to raise awareness of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) among children and young people aged 8-16 years.
Unlimit Health congratulates all the children who contributed their artwork. The entries were insightful, showing creative talent and concern for people affected by these diseases.
This years’ winners, selected by the judges, are:

All the poster entries can be viewed here.
The winners will be attending an event in Parliament where they will show their posters and receive their prizes. This event is organised by the UK Coalition Against NTDs and the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases.
The event aims to highlight among MPs the importance and impact of addressing NTDs within the context of global health, what is required to eliminate these diseases and the impact they have on women and girls – on a day when the world observes World NTD Day.
We’re very grateful to our judges Dr Anouk Gouvras – Director of Communications and Programmes at the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance, Bonnie Webster – Principal Researcher at the Natural History Museum, and LUAP – British multidisciplinary artist: LUAP (@luap) • Instagram photos and videos.
