To mark World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) Day on 30 January, Unlimit Health, as a proud member of the UK Coalition Against NTDs, will co-host a parliamentary reception at the Houses of Parliament in London.
Event Theme: “Leaving No One Behind: Reaching 1 billion people affected by NTDs”
This event aims to raise awareness of NTDs among newly elected MPs by sharing powerful testimonies from individuals living with and affected by these diseases. It will also spotlight the UK’s leadership in research excellence and innovation in NTD control and elimination.
NTD interventions are not standalone—they naturally align with existing investments in:
Unlimit Health’s CEO, Wendy Harrison, will speak at the event, sharing inspiring examples of how NTD programs have been successfully integrated into health initiatives in Uganda and Malawi.
The reception will take place on 4 February, positioning NTDs as both a moral imperative and a strategic entry point for achieving the UK’s development priorities—strengthening health systems, empowering women and girls, and fulfilling “leave no one behind” commitments.

The event will also feature winning posters from children across the UK who participated in the Light the Path competition. These creative artworks help raise awareness of NTDs, and winners will receive prizes for their outstanding contributions.
