In 2026, The Life You Can Save conducted an in depth evaluation of our mass deworming programmes across Madagascar, Ethiopia, and Côte d’Ivoire, covering over 24 million children. The findings reinforce a clear conclusion. Deworming remains one of the highest impact investments in global health.
Our schistosomiasis programmes were rated “highly cost effective”, with costs as low as $36 per Disability Adjusted Life Year (DALY) averted in Madagascar. For context, interventions under $100 per DALY are considered highly cost effective by global health standards.
