Dominic Brain
Director of Funding & Communications

Dominic Brain has 30 years’ experience in funding, communications and partnerships in the international development sector. He joined Unlimit Health in April 2026 and leads the organisation’s communications and fundraising team, helping to fund its work and amplify its vision, values and impact.

Before joining Unlimit Health, Dominic worked with Christian Aid, where he led the Programme Funding Division across the International Programmes and Fundraising Departments. Over the past 15 years, he has led multi-country teams to co-create programmes and develop strategic partnerships with institutions including DFID, FCDO, USAID, UN agencies, foundations and the Global Climate Funds. His experience spans work with national and international partners across Africa, Asia and Latin America. He is passionate about partnerships, systems thinking and cross-cutting approaches that strengthen resilience.

Dominic holds a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Manchester and an M.Sc. in Land and Water Management from Cranfield University. A climate and energy specialist, he has attended two UNFCCC climate conferences, served as an international judge for the prestigious Ashden Awards, and is particularly interested in the climate-health nexus, climate adaptation and nature-based solutions. Outside work, he enjoys family time, travel, tennis, going up and down mountains, and getting close to nature.
