SCI Foundation is now Unlimit Health. Learn more about what the change means for our ongoing efforts to eliminate neglected tropical diseases
Last year we made a difference to the lives of 19 million people who received treatment for schistosomiasis and intestinal worms. We hope you’ll enjoy reading about all that we have achieved together, towards healthy lives, free from limiting disease.
Throughout 2023, together with our ministry of health partners, we supported the delivery of 28 million treatments, reaching 19 million people at risk of parasitic disease in eight countries.
In 2023, we continued working towards expanding access to a suitable treatment option for preschool-aged children affected by schistosomiasis. We also led or co-authored eight published papers in key journals, generating evidence to tackle parasitic diseases.
As part of the Female Genital Schistosomiasis Integration Group (FIG), we submitted written evidence to the FCDO on the urgent need to integrate female genital schistosomiasis into sexual and reproductive health services.
We also advocated for international aid effectiveness principles and promoted a One Health approach to the UK Government. This, and much more, was made possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters and funders, and the dedication of our partners committed to ending parasitic disease, together.
