Unlimit Health Chief Executive Officer Dr Wendy Harrison will join global experts for a webinar marking the International Day of the African Child on 16 June 2026, hosted by the International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases.

The event, Schistosomiasis and the Challenge to Early Childhood Development, will explore how schistosomiasis continues to affect the health, development and future potential of millions of children across Africa, despite significant progress in child health over recent decades.

Dr Harrison will be joined by Dr Beatrice Greco (Merck), Dr Ida Marie Ameda (UNICEF) and Dr Paul Erasto Kazyoba (National Institute for Medical Research, Tanzania) to discuss emerging evidence, programme experience and practical strategies to strengthen prevention and care for young children living in endemic areas.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 16 June 2026 from 10:00–11:00 UTC and is open to all interested participants.
